Share with us the story of you and the story! Why do you want/need to write this? Do you have a deep reason, or has this idea been obsessing you for a while?

Lesson 2: Know Yourself as a Writer

Tell us about you as the writer. Have you written a lot before? Kept a journal? Wrote professional material? What else? How do you write best? Do you feel you have support as a writer in your life?

Lesson 3: Focus Your Story

Do you have a technique for brainstorming or focusing your story? What's your learning style, and how does that affect your story-building?

Lesson 4: Discover Your Audience

Have you narrowed down your story type, and gotten a sense of your audience? Any info from Amazon searches?

Lesson 5: Why Write Now?

Why is this a good (or bad) time for you to write this story? What length do you think this story will be? What medium (TV, novel, film, game, audio) are you aiming for?

Lesson 6: Troubleshoot Your Writing Life

Any trouble in your writing life? Who can you turn to for support? Who CAN'T you get support from? (No judgment zone here!)What's your writing space like? (Feel free to post photos)

Introduction: How's it going? Ready to plot?

Can you write a quick sentence about your story? What's it about? Any questions so far?

Lesson 1: Starting on Structure

How do you feel about plotting? Have you outlined any of the story yet? What about drafting pages and scenes? Have you started?

Lesson 3: Conflict

Do any of the three big conflicts confuse you? Which do you naturally gravitate to? Are you more 'internal" or 'external'? Isn't it weird to think of conflict as a good thing?

Lesson 3: The Three Acts Overall

What about your 3 acts? Do you have one figured out more than the other? What have you figured out about the 3 acts? Anyone wondering if maybe they have 4 acts? (Disaster films are usually 4 acts, for example.)

Lesson 4: Act 1-- The set up of the conflicts
